Filmstill of the short film HELGA. Helga sitting in her living room.

Helga, a lonely pensioner, watches television as every night. Suddenly, the phone rings, even though she hasn't been called for a long time. This is a survey on digital media consumption for students. Instead of hanging up, Helga follows an inner impulse and gets into the skin of a student. She travels into her own youth and leaves her loneliness behind - if only for a brief moment.

Helga also plays the accordion and so the music I ended up writing for this film also heavily featured this instrument. I made use not only of the traditional way of creating notes and chords but also used a lot of the "breathing" sounds of the instrument to go along with the film.
